Junk, is part of the Random Collection. This series of 11 different pieces was a chance to explore disconnected imagery following a year of making large-scale artworks, such as Young Card Players. This is an image from a junk shop window- it follows an ongoing project of documenting ‘stuff’ and the objects that we keep around us. I became interest in possessions when I began to think of what happened to our treasured possessions when we are no longer here. The line drawing is part of my own collection.
